A Thousand And One by A. V. Rockwell

A.V. Rockwell’s film fol­lows unapolo­getic and free-spir­it­ed Inez (Teyana Tay­lor), who kid­naps her six-year-old son Ter­ry from the fos­ter care sys­tem. Hold­ing onto their secret and each oth­er, moth­er and son set out to reclaim their sense of home, iden­ti­ty, and sta­bil­i­ty, in a rapid­ly chang­ing New York City. 

At the Sun­dance Fes­ti­val in 2023 A THOUSAND AND ONE won a Grand Jury Prize. Teyana Tay­lor as moth­er Inez and Aaron Kings­ley Adeto­la as her son Ter­ry are such a great act­ing cou­ple who give this movie such an incred­i­ble authen­tic­i­ty.
